Division: Group Technology Services (GTS)
Group Technology Services plans, builds and runs the global infrastructure of Euroclear, and is additionally responsible for the IT service management to the operating entities of the various Group markets. The division operates its IT systems and IT services in such a way that, at an appropriate and benchmarked cost level, it can deliver the agreed levels of service to support the requirements of the business processes, for both normal operations and during disaster recovery.
Your Role
We are looking for a motivated junior Mainframe System Engineer to join our squad within the CORE Tribe. As part of a team of approximately 20 mainframe engineers, you will contribute to monitoring and automating mainframe processes and activities. You will also explore ways to modernize the mainframe environment by integrating it with emerging technologies such as AI and container platforms.
At a later stage, you will participate in on-call rotations and contribute to weekend activities, including business resilience exercises such as SWAP and RDR.
Your Responsibilities
Provide expertise to support and troubleshoot infrastructure issues as they ariseMonitor and resolve alerts or incidents on the platformEnsure systems are properly operated, maintained, and enhanced through successful implementation of changesContribute to the development of automation capabilities using Ansible and similar tools by designing and delivering relevant use casesMaintain strong relationships with external suppliers to ensure effective support levelsMonitor system usage, capacity, and performanceIdentify and automate repetitive manual tasks to reduce risk and improve efficiencyYour Soft Skills
