We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support supply chain and logistics initiatives within a pharma/biotech environment. The role sits on the business side, acting as a bridge between Supply Chain stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party vendors. The focus will be on gaining visibility across complex distribution networks, improving reporting, aligning outsourced partners, and supporting tactical and strategic improvements across the end-to-end supply chain.
This role includes hands-on business analysis alongside light project management responsibilities, ensuring delivery, follow-ups, and adherence to timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement
* Obtain a deep understanding of the end-to-end supply chain (commercial manufacturing, distribution, logistics, and 3PL operations).
* Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external solution providers/3rd parties.
* Gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements using techniques such as:
* Stakeholder interviews
* Workshops and brainstorming sessions
* Questionnaires
* Document analysis
* Prototyping
* Translate high-level business needs into clear, detailed functional requirements.
* Challenge proposed solutions, recommend alternatives, and clearly communicate trade-offs, risks, and constraints.
Supply Chain, Logistics & Systems
* Build visibility into complex distribution and logistics networks, including multiple 3PLs, and support decision-making around their ongoing use.
* Support initiatives related to:
* Serialisation and traceability
* Temperature monitoring and cold-chain compliance
* Real-time shipment tracking
* Understand reporting gaps and work with teams to design and implement improved reporting and visibility solutions.
* Contribute to platform rationalisation and roadmap planning activities.
* Work with enterprise systems (SAP required; Oracle a plus but not essential).
Delivery Support & Governance
* Collaborate with delivery teams (internal and external) to prioritise requirements and resolve competing stakeholder demands.
* Support solution build, testing, and deployment:
* Review deliverables to ensure alignment to requirements
* Define and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
* Document current-state processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose automation or optimisation opportunities.
* Create and maintain key BA artefacts including:
* Business cases
* Scope and requirements documentation
* Process flows and models
Project Management Support
* Manage small initiatives or workstreams, including:
* Planning and coordination
* Follow-ups and dependency tracking
* Status updates and stakeholder communication
* Escalation of risks and issues where appropriate
Required Experience & Skills
Essential
* 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst within pharma or biotech.
* 5+ years’ experience performing project coordination or project management–type responsibilities (planning, follow-up, deadlines).
* Strong experience working with Supply Chain teams in pharma/biotech, covering end-to-end supply chain processes tied to commercial manufacturing.
* Experience in organisations that outsource manufacturing and operate in biologics.
* Strong business-facing BA profile with experience working closely with IT delivery teams, while remaining on the business side.
* Solid understanding of SAP environments within supply chain or logistics.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills.
* Strong analytical mindset with the confidence to challenge and shape requirements.
Desirable
* Background in big pharma and/or consulting, having worked on similar large-scale or cross-functional supply chain initiatives.
* Exposure to Oracle systems.
* Experience working with multiple 3PL providers and external technology vendors. xphnsxz
