About the Role
We are seeking a Generative AI Engineer (Freelance) for an 11-month mission in Gosselies, Belgium, with the possibility of extension. You'll join our client's Center of Excellence for Generative AI, driving digital transformation by integrating cutting-edge generative AI and automation solutions. This is a freelance opportunity for elite builders ready to shape the future of AI-powered business.

Our client is accelerating their digital transformation by embedding generative AI into business processes, governance, and automation. As a Generative AI Engineer, you'll be pivotal in designing, deploying, and optimizing AI solutions that empower teams, streamline operations, and set new standards for innovation and compliance. Your work will directly influence the evolution of their GenAI Center of Excellence, shaping how AI is governed, secured, and adopted across the organization.
What You'll Be Doing
* Partnering with solution architects and AI experts to design, deploy, and optimize generative AI solutions
* Defining and analyzing business needs for AI projects, including LLMs, chatbots, automation, and dashboards
* Developing tailored AI solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Copilot 365, Azure AI Foundry, and Azure AI Search
* Building conversational agents, intelligent search engines, and advanced automations
* Conducting functional and technical analyses, and producing clear, actionable documentation
* Contributing to the structuring and evolution of the GenAI Center of Excellence (governance, security, compliance, best practices)
* Implementing and documenting operational AI governance standards
* Collaborating with architects, data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions
* Monitoring technological developments and driving continuous improvement, especially for Microsoft Copilot and Azure AI solutions
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience (3-5 years) in designing and integrating generative AI solutions (LLM, chatbots, automation, dashboards)
* Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Copilot 365, Azure AI Foundry, and Azure AI Search
* Strong functional analysis skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
* Proficiency in the Power Platform (governance, automation, integration)
* Experience with Azure services for generative AI and intelligent search (Azure AI Services, SQL, Fabric), and ability to quickly learn new Azure tools
* Understanding of data engineering concepts (databases, pipelines, cloud integration)
* Expertise in Python development and relevant frameworks/libraries (LangChain, PySpark, etc.)
* Proficiency in monitoring tools for operational tracking and performance/cost optimization
* Ability to contribute to the structuring and evolution of AI governance, security, and compliance frameworks
* Ownership mindset, problem-solving drive, and a passion for delivering real business impact
Language Proficiency
* Fluent communication in French and English is required
