Junior & Senior System Engineers – Optical & Spectral Imaging

Hybrid: 2 fixed office days + up to 3 remote days

About the Role
A growing high-tech company is looking to expand its systems engineering capacity to support the development of next-generation sensing products. These solutions combine optical technology, computer vision, and spectral imaging to create innovative applications in various industries.
The new engineers will work on system architecture, simulations, and design for advanced optical-electronic systems, collaborating closely with the team lead and each other. Both roles will have a direct impact on product success and customer integration.
We are hiring two engineers at the same time:
* Junior System Engineer – learn and contribute to system design and validation, gradually taking on more technical responsibility.
* Senior System Engineer – lead architecture discussions, translate customer needs into technical requirements, and mentor the junior engineer.
What You’ll Do
* Design, simulate, and validate optical-electronic systems.
* Translate application needs into product requirements.
* Collaborate on architecture design and system-level solutions.
* Work with cutting-edge technology in spectral imaging and computer vision.
What We’re Looking For
Senior:
* Several years of experience in optical systems, image sensors, or related fields.
* Strong system-level thinking and mentoring ability.
Junior:
* Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
* Enthusiasm for optical systems and a willingness to learn quickly.
For Both:
* Background in industrial engineering, computer vision, or computer science is a plus.
* Knowledge of simulation or design tools is an advantage.
* Strong English is essential; Dutch is an asset but not required.
