In a context of growth and transformation, the company is looking for a hands‑on legal professional able to combine strategic thinking with pragmatic business support.
As a Solo Legal Counsel your responsibilities are:
Provide legal advice across the company's operations.
Draft, review and negotiate contracts with partners, suppliers and stakeholders.
Manage legal risks related to governance, compliance, projects and operational matters.
Support Board of Directors, shareholders and annual accounts‑related topics.
Handle disputes and litigation matters, in coordination with external counsel.
Monitor legal and regulatory developments and translate them into practical guidance.
Act as the main legal sparring partner for C-level executives.
Profiel A successful Solo Legal Counsel should have:
5 to 10 years of relevant legal experience, gained in a law firm and/or in‑house.
Solid expertise in commercial, corporate, financial services, regulatory or competition law.
Experience in financial services, payments, regulated industries, multi‑site operations or real estate is a strong plus.
Excellent knowledge of Belgian law and a good understanding of EU regulations.
Experience with litigation or dispute resolution is an asset.
Fluency in Dutch and English.
The ability to work autonomously and translate legal complexity into clear business advice.
Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
High integrity, sound judgement and the confidence to advise senior stakeholders.
