Role DescriptionJohnson & Johnson is recruiting for an Experienced Project Engineer in Geel, Belgium.
The Geel site is our largest chemical production site for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) within the J&J supply chain. We ensure lifesaving medicines reach the patient safely and optimally. Besides production of API's, the site has a launch & grow mission for new pharmaceutical products. To accomplish this mission, we keep investing in innovative technologies, people and partnerships.

Responsibilities
Acts as engineering subject-matter expert (SME) for API process equipment, providing technical leadership across design, procurement, commissioning and operational handover
Provides project leadership across the appropriate stages from inception to completion.
Establishes alignment with project sponsor and aligns core and extended team to deliver the final project objectives.
Prepares project intake, including scoping, business case analysis, alternative assessment, presenting the selected option and alternatives for project approval.
Facilitates the project planning, tracking and reporting against project key deliverables and objectives.
Oversees project finances: securing accurate budget allocation upon project approval and effectively managing expenses throughout project implementation.
Uses risk management methodologies to identify and manage risks to project objectives.
Leads project close out activities including operational handover, archiving, financial project closure, collation of benchmarking information and lessons learned to ensure continuous improvement.
Maintains awareness of external environment, supplying value and insights.
Who We're Looking For
You acquired a master's degree, preferably in a Science, Technology or Engineering field.
An independent and curious individual, skilled in creative thinking and problem-solving.
Flexible, can adapt to changing priorities and challenging timelines.
An individual who feels that safety and quality is of paramount importance!
Understanding of regulatory requirements and industry guidelines specific to the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industry.
An individual with strong communicative and interpersonal skills who can communicate effectively with stakeholders across different levels of our organization.
Ability to naturally lead and motivate team members and partners.
Experience with process equipment engineering and project management is strongly desired but can be compensated with a high level of eagerness to learn.
