Robert Half is currently recruiting a Business Controller for a high-growth consultancy firm in Antwerp.
Our client is operating in the fascinating environment of start-ups and scale-ups.
Our client is currently looking for a Business Controller with relevant experience in accounting and controlling in dynamic companies. You are willing to join a team of other senior finance processionals, based in Belgium. In a couple of months, you will quickly evolve into a finance business partner for multiple start-ups and scale-up companies.
This role will be very diverse, each day will be different and we need you to be able to cope with this ever-changing environment. You will work as part of the management of our clients and as such need strong communication skills, need to be proactive and willing to get things done. In return, we will guide through your learning curve and you will have a team to fall back on.
The requested qualifications for this job include:
Must haves:
* A genuine interest in how business and finance come together;
* Master in Finance or similar;
* Minimum of 6 years' experience working as a business controller or finance manager;
* Strong analytical mind with the ability to make analyses, budgets and forecasts, while being able to present these in a correct, concise way to the management and board;
* Time management skills: able to work on multiple assignments for multiple clients, while maintaining accuracy against tight timeliness;
* Pro-active mindset: you will have to pick up queries and issues yourself and need to plan ahead. You will be the right hand of multiple CEO's and they need to be able to count on you.
Nice to haves:
* Be a teamplayer: you will get to know different teams and people;
* Flexibility in terms of time and location. You will work in multiple locations in Flanders and will need to manage your own time;
* Proficient skills in writing and able to express yourself clearly in Dutch and English. French is a plus;
* Ability to work with the newest systems and processes. Our clients change constantly and so do we. You need to be able to learn fast and try out new things;
* MS Office has no secrets for you. Advanced skills in Excel are required;
* Have some proficiency in cloud-based accounting and reporting systems;
* Willingness to learn legal, fiscal or HR-related items is a plus.

The salary is competitive. The main office is in Antwerp, but you will often work at our clients' premises or from home.
