Business Development Manager – High-Tech Imaging

At Caeleste, we design and develop advanced image sensor solutions for customers who operate at the cutting edge of space, scientific, medical, industrial or life science applications. From our R&D center in Mechelen, we work closely with international partners who rely on us to differentiate their products through technology.
To support our next phase of growth, we are looking for a Business Development Manager who enjoys operating at the intersection of technology, strategy and customer relationships.
Your impact
As Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in shaping Caeleste’s commercial future. You will actively build markets, partnerships and long-term customer relationships in close collaboration with our engineering teams.
Your responsibilities include
* Identifying and developing new business opportunities with international customers and strategic partners.
* Executing the different stages of the sales funnel: from first contact and opportunity qualification to proposal development and deal closure - in close collaboration with the engineering team.
* Contributing to go-to-market strategies and commercial positioning.
* Launching (digital) marketing campaigns and strengthening company branding
* Representing Caeleste at international conferences, trade shows and industry events.
* Providing market insights and strategic input to the management team.
* Managing and growing key customer accounts from a business development perspective.
You will report directly to the Business Development Office Lead and work closely with the engineering and management team.
Who we’re looking for
We are looking for a commercially driven professional with a strong affinity for technology.
You likely bring
* Experience in business development, sales or strategic account management in a high-tech B2B environment (5+ years).
* The ability to understand complex technical solutions and translate them into clear customer value.
* A proactive, opportunity-driven mindset and strong relationship-building skills.
* Experience in semiconductors, imaging, photonics or adjacent industries is a strong plus, but not a hard requirement.
* Confidence to interact with both engineers and senior customer stakeholders.
* Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 15%).
* Excellent command of English.
An engineering background (Electronics, Physics or similar) is an advantage, but relevant commercial experience in high-tech environments is equally valued.
