A leading international engineering and construction contractor is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join a major pharmaceutical manufacturing project in mainland Europe. This is a high-profile, fast-paced project within a regulated, GMP-driven environment.
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for on-site construction delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all on-site construction activities across multiple disciplines
Coordinate subcontractors, site teams, and client representatives
Drive health & safety performance and ensure strict adherence to site procedures
Oversee construction planning, sequencing, and progress reporting
Ensure compliance with GMP, quality, and project specifications
Support commissioning, handover, and close-out activities
Proactively identify and mitigate construction risks and issues
Requirements
Proven experience as a Construction Manager on large-scale industrial projects
Strong background in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or high-tech manufacturing environments
Excellent knowledge of construction methodologies, safety standards, and quality systems
Experience working in regulated/GMP environments is essential
Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills
Willingness to work on-site in Belgium (EU work eligibility required)
