Job Description:
We are looking for a profile Structural Engineer or Engineer Techniques, ideally a profile that has knowledge of both disciplines, to perform an analysis of 2 independent studies with a focus on construction and HVAC installations.
This person will carry out a desk study that should focus on:
* Building envelope
* HVAC installations
* EPB obligation for public buildings (based on actual energy consumption)
* EPB tertiary sector obligation (theoretical performance of the building; EPC certificate drawn up by the owner. From 2027, the Client will also be obliged to draw this up)
The study takes into account the Brussels legislation in force and corresponding energy obligations (BWLKE, PLAGE,...), which the Client must comply with, until:
* Reduction of energy consumption in an office building to a primary energy consumption of approx. 133 kWh/m².year by 2040
* Necessary mandatory investments in the building envelope to achieve the above objective
* Necessary mandatory investments through the implementation of renewable energy to achieve the above target.

* Senior Construction Engineer
* Demonstrable experience with the BWLKE (Brussels Air, Climate and Energy Management Code) and renovation obligation for tertiary buildings — Expert
* Assessment of electrical installations and lighting by level (LED retrofit, presence and daylight control) — Expert
* Recognition as an EPB advisor or PLAGE auditor — Nice to have
* Knowledge and control of thermal performance (U-values, linear thermal bridges, psi values) — Expert
* Knowledge of EPB regulations in Brussels, distinguishing actual energy performance (public buildings, based on real consumption) vs. EPB/EPC for the tertiary sector (theoretical performance) — Expert
* Knowledge of heating, ventilation, and cooling in tertiary buildings — Expert
