For an international company, specialised in dental supplies, we are looking for an experienced IT security Specialist to lead the cybersecurity efforts, protecting systems, networks, and data. This role involves developing security policies, responding to incidents, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating across teams to enhance the cybersecurity posture across Europe.
Main responsibilities
1. Develop, implement, and maintain IT security policies, standards, and procedures.
2. Lead security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing.
3. Monitor and respond to security incidents, conducting investigations and ensuring quick remediation.
4. Oversee the implementation of security controls to safeguard digital assets and protect data.
5. Manage the organization’s cybersecurity compliance with relevant regulations, including ISO 270001 / NIS2 / Dora requirements.
6. Collaborate with IT and business teams to design secure systems and enhance network security.
7. Conduct employee training sessions to raise awareness of security best practices and prevent phishing and other cyber threats.
8. Prepare detailed reports for management on security status, incidents, and remediation efforts.
9. Stay up-to-date with evolving cyber threats, technologies, and regulatory requirements to proactively address risks.

Who are we looking for?
10. Experience: +3 years in cybersecurity, ideally within consulting, with expertise across the following areas: Cloud Security: In-depth experience with Microsoft Azure and an affinity for cloud security best practices. Information Security Knowledge: Strong knowledge of security principles and frameworks, including CIS controls and MITRE ATT&CK. Governance and Risk Assessment: Comprehensive understanding of security frameworks and best practices for risk management, including ISO, CSA, and CIS controls.
11. Collaboration & Adaptability: A proactive team player who is flexible, quickly adapts to changing priorities, and openly shares knowledge with team members.
12. Client Service Orientation: Responsive to client requests, proactive in delivering effective security solutions, and committed to providing excellent service.
13. Communication & People Skills: Ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders, with a genuine interest in helping team members grow.
14. Languages: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Dutch or French is a plus.
15. Travel Requirement: Up to 15-30% travel may be required for audit or project work.
