The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Project Engineer EIA to take ownership of the electrical, instrumentation, and automation scope across industrial projects within a production environment.In this role, you act as the technical EIA authority, ensuring the quality, compliance, and operational alignment of all electrical and automation deliverables. You will not be responsible for producing detailed engineering yourself; instead, you will interpret, validate, challenge, and approve engineering documentation produced by external partners, from concept through commissioning and handover.
You will work closely with plant operations, automation integrators, and the wider project team to ensure solutions are technically robust, compliant, and fully aligned with production and operational requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Validation & Engineering ControlInterpret and validate P&IDs from an EIA perspectiveReview and approve M&I (Measurement & Instrumentation) listsCheck and approve low-voltage electrical schematicsReview cable calculations, load studies, and electrical network architectureVerify technical specifications and material selectionsEnsure compliance with AREI regulations and applicable industrial standardsAct as the technical EIA authority throughout the project lifecyclePlant Alignment & Functional CoordinationMaintain close alignment with production, maintenance, and start-up teamsTranslate operational and process requirements into clear EIA specificationsCoordinate and contribute to Functional Design Specifications (FDS)Validate FDS documents for technical feasibility, safety, and operational impactLead technical alignment meetings with plant teams, integrators, and engineering partnersEnsure correct integration of interlocks, safety concepts, and sequencing logicProject CoordinationTechnically lead and challenge external engineering partnersCoordinate with process, mechanical, and automation disciplinesMonitor scope, planning, and budget within the EIA domainPrepare for and participate in FAT and SATSafeguard consistency between engineering documentation and plant expectationsSite Supervision & ExecutionEnsure execution aligns with approved documentationProvide technical support during installation activitiesPerform on-site quality control and resolve technical deviationsMaintain regular site presence to support contractors and plant teamsCommissioning & HandoverSupport start-up and system testingVerify implemented functionality against approved FDSValidate as-built documentationProvide formal technical approval of the EIA scopeEnsure structured handover to operations and maintenance
Required Profile
