Technical Business Analyst required for public sector client located in Brussels.brEU citizens only for the working location requirement.brTechnical Business AnalystbrLocation: 2 days onsite 3 days remotebrContract type: 6 months + extensions (long-term engagement)brLocation: BrusselsbrLanguage: english french or dutchbrBrussels - 550 EUR / daybrKey responsibilitiesbrTechnical functional analysis:brTranslate complex business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications.brCollaborate with Solution Architects to align project scope with the overall system architecture.brDefine and validate REST API specifications in accordance with Open API standards and Back End service design.brSupport database modeling efforts, ensuring alignment between data schema and business logic.brProject coordination Agile participation:brActively contribute to Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.brLiaise with Project Managers and Service Owners to ensure timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals.brProvide impact analysis and feasibility assessments for new features, change requests, or enhancements.brDocumentation quality assurance:brCreate and maintain detailed functional and technical documentation (Jira, Confluence), including process flows, user stories, test cases, andbrrelease notes.brSupport test planning by defining test scenarios and acceptance criteria.brCollaborate with QA teams to ensure thorough validation of application functionality.brSecurity compliance awareness:brEnsure security best practices are Embedded in requirements (eg, secure access via OAuth2, JWT, LDAP, RBAC).brParticipate in the review of TLS life cycle and key management practices from a compliance and risk perspective.brCollaboration across teams:brAct as the key liaison between development, QA, DevOps, and product teams to ensure end-to-end solution quality.brSupport front-end-back-end integration efforts by identifying, analysing, and resolving functional mismatches.brCoordinate with platform and observability teams to ensure appropriate logging, monitoring, and alerting (eg, ELK Stack, Zabbix).brRequired qualificationsbrMinimum 5 years' experience in a Technical Business Analyst or Functional Analyst role within complex Back End systems.brSolid understanding of RESTful architecture, MicroServices, and Back End service flows.brFamiliarity with Java/Spring Boot systems, with the ability to analyze logs and architecture at a high level.brProficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitLab, and Jenkins.brExperience working in Agile/Scrum teams in large-scale IT environments.brStrong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.brPreferred qualifications:brExperience with OpenAPI, API gateways, and enterprise-grade authentication methods.brUnderstanding of PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.brExposure to containerized environments (Docker, OpenShift).brPrior work with observability stacks such as ELK and Zabbix.brFamiliarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and clean architecture principles.
