Zilte*** by Viki Geunes, is one of Belgium’s top culinary destinations, housed on the top floor of the prestigious Antwerp MAS museum. Chef Geunes holds 3 Michelin stars and an 18,5/20 Gault & Millau score, after previously being awarded Top Young Chef of the Year (2005) and praised as Best Chef of the Year (2008). Many Zilte guests are international food travellers who visit Antwerp with a Zilte experience as its main destination. Viki Geunes is also a published author (Just Cooking, cookbook of the year 2009) and coached a culinary TV show in the past as top expert.

This autodidact gathers his family around him, as his wife Viviane Plaquet has been by his side from the very beginning. Viki Geunes’ daughter Gitte also joined ranks, reinforcing the signature warm family welcome that Zilte stands for. Holidays with the family is a golden moment to internationally dig for culinary inspiration.

In this unique location overlooking the Antwerp skyline, guests are received in a stylish and cosy salon where jazz records set the tone. With an apéritif, maybe an exclusive cuvée by champagne partner Bollinger, or a drink carefully selected by sommelier Aaron, the Zilte guests can start to unwind and enjoy the top hospitality experience that Zilte is so known for.

Every guest can expect a personalized treatment, as the hosts are very tuned in to guests’ (previous) wishes and style.

Zilte works with local North Sea fishermen to cultivate short chain and local produce, and handpicks products of the very best quality for every menu.

Its kitchen operates with the utmost respect for sustainability and footprint of the human kind on the planet.

‘Dignity’ is a keyword for Zilte, and chef Geunes believes this should be translated into all aspects of hospitality business. We believe that, in a world where fine dining is currently under duress, we need to set an example in sustainable working and nurturing our talented staff, from interns to experienced workers. Gastronomy is a way of life with pride and respect.

As a Relais & Chateaux partner we would become a proud ambassador and mutually perpetuate and reinforce the standard for top hospitality and cuisine, bringing our guests the best experience in ‘art de vivre’, and work on international recognition for both Relais & Chateaux and Zilte.


– Supporting the Sous Chef in managing the kitchen;
– Supervising the various stations during mise-en-place and service;
– Monitoring and following up on orders and stock management;
– Actively contributing to the development of new, creative dishes;
– Training and guiding young culinary talent within the team.


– Passionate cook with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience;
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
– Team player who enjoys being part of a dynamic and creative kitchen team;
– Experience in a gastronomic environment;
– Driven to grow within an ambitious kitchen brigade.
