Heidelberg Materials is seeking a talented Legal Counsel specialized in Public Law and ESG to join our team at our headquarters in Braine-l'Alleud. Responsibilities include:
* Act as the legal point of contact for sustainability projects, including energy, CCS, CCU, and climate change law.
* Support legal aspects of carbon capture, use, and storage projects and related legislation.
* Handle legal matters related to environmental topics, sustainability, climate law, and energy law.
* Provide legal advice on sustainability and environmental regulations.
* Support employee training on ESG regulations and environmental law topics.
* Manage legal questions related to public and administrative law, permits, and environmental legal issues.
* Support legal aspects of civil, commercial law, and contracts, including drafting and reviewing contracts and negotiations.
Candidate Profile:
* Master’s degree in Law, preferably in Environmental, Administrative, or Public Law.
* Approximately 4-5 years of experience in an industrial company or law firm.
* Fluent in Dutch, French, and English.
* Structured, organized, responsible, and able to manage projects independently.
* Excellent communication, writing, convincing, and negotiation skills.
* Team player, proactive, fast learner, and critical thinker.
