Optimus is supporting a major industrial engineering client preparing for the award of several large-scale projects in the coming months.
These include heavy industrial installations. As a result, we are proactively screening experienced Lead Electrical Engineers to step in immediately.
The Opportunity
You will take ownership of the full electrical scope on major industrial projects — not a design/drafting role, but a true electrical lead/coordinator position.
This is a long-term freelance opportunity on high-value industrial infrastructure.
Project Scope
Large-scale industrial installations including:
* Waste-to-energy facilities
* Petrochemical / heavy industry plants
* Complex MV/LV electrical systems
Your Responsibilities
* Lead the complete electrical scope of the project
* Oversee a small electrical engineering team (~3 engineers)
* Review and validate subcontractor electrical deliverables
* Manage electrical packages (MV/LV systems)
* Attend client and subcontractor coordination meetings
* Support transition from design into execution
* Conduct occasional site visits (ad hoc)
This is a leadership and coordination role — not hands-on design.
Required Experience
* Strong background in Medium Voltage & Low Voltage systems
* Experience leading electrical scope on industrial projects
* Proven track record in heavy industry / petrochemical environments
* Experience reviewing subcontractor engineering work
* Strong client-facing communication skills
* French is a plus (for French-based projects)
