Job Description
Faststream are working with a leading European Shipyard facility on the search for an additional Steelwork Foreman to join their yard on a permanent basis.
Our client is looking for a foreman to manage a team working on the maintenance and repair of sea-going vessels in their Antwerp based dry docks.
You will be responsible for the supervision of projects from pre production through to completion in their production hall and on occasion you could be responsible for several projects at the same time. This ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
* You have completed a welder / pipefitter training with at least 5 years of working experience
* You have a broad developed image of the shipbuilding industry
* You can work independently and have experience in leading teams
* Adequate level of English is important as communication is mainly in English
* You attach great importance to safety and quality
* You can keep a cool head in unexpected situations and dynamically seek effective solutions
The successful Candidate must have the right to work in the EU and will be working for a busy shipyard business with a strong forward workload and our client can offer a generous salary package with overtime and healthcare.
