leading company active in large-scale fixed telecom and infrastructure projects in Belgium
, we are looking for an
HLD Engineer – COAX & Infrastructure
to support the expansion and modernization of coax and fiber networks.
Your role
As a
High-Level Design (HLD) Engineer
, you are responsible for designing coax and fiber infrastructure for construction and relocation projects in your region. You are the link between design and execution and will ultimately see your work reflected in real-life installations on public streets.
You will play a key role within the
Regional Delivery team
, acting as a central technical point of contact for the Antwerp area.
Your responsibilities
* Design high-level coax and FTTH network solutions and related infrastructure
* Manage and prioritize multiple projects within your portfolio
* Coordinate all design-related activities and act as a regional point of contact
* Align closely with fiber engineers, site coordinators, engineering firms, and utility companies
* Collaborate with low-level design engineers and validate their detailed designs
* Make design adjustments yourself for smaller project changes
* Review projects with site coordinators who oversee execution on site
* Participate in project coordination meetings and conduct site visits
* Use graphical design tools to develop high-level network designs
* Combine office work (fixed office day on Monday), remote work, and fieldwork
* Build strong long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders through proactive collaboration
Your profile
* Bachelor's level of thinking or equivalent experience
* Strong communication skills and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders
* Knowledge of public utility infrastructure and works in the public domain is a strong asset
* Technical knowledge of
coax networks
and
FTTH
is a strong plus
* Flexible and able to adapt to changing projects and priorities
* Valid
Category B driving license
* Languages:
Dutch (fluent)
and
basic English
