The University is now looking for a high caliber candidate to join our building services (operation & maintenance) team – Mechanical Division.
The appointee will participate in the operation and maintenance of the University's mechanical installations including plumbing and drainage installation, swimming pool installation, fire services installation, air compressors, vacuum pumps, lifting appliances and lifting gears, electric and gas water heaters, etc. to ensure they are operated and maintained in a safe, reliable and efficient manner.
The appointee will be responsible for the following duties:
* Supervise in-house staff and outside contractors.
* Monitor manpower and material resources for routine repair and maintenance works.
* Liaise and coordinate with internal parties, campus users and outside contractors on the planned preventive maintenance, daily operation, replacement, improvement and upgrading works.
* Assisting in Implementing, testing and commissioning work of new and renovation projects.
* Engage in hands-on works on various building services facilities.
* Prepare reports using MS Office applications.
* Perform shift duties and attend emergency duties.
Applicants should have a diploma/certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related disciplines plus at least 3 years of relevant work experience and should be a registered electrical worker. A good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua), proficiency in MS Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word) as well as AutoCAD are essential. The ideal candidate should also have ability to work independently.
Extensive work experience with operation and maintenance of large scale of mechanical system is definitely an advantage. Applicants with lower academic qualification but with extensive relevant work experience will also be considered. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
