**Production Planner Role Overview**
We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical individual to fill the role of Production Planner. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of production operations by translating sales forecasts and order intake into clear, executable production plans.
The successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills, with the ability to collect and interpret data effectively. Experience with SAP (PP/MM modules) is highly desirable, as is proficiency in Excel. A strong understanding of supply chain management principles and processes is also essential.
In this role, you will work closely with various teams, including Production, Purchasing, and Logistics, to guarantee optimal stock levels of raw materials and finished goods. You will develop and maintain weekly and monthly production schedules, balancing machine capacity, workforce availability, and material supply.
A major part of your responsibility will involve monitoring inventory levels and triggering replenishment as needed. You will also act as the primary liaison between the Production Planning and Logistics teams, identifying bottlenecks early and coordinating corrective actions.
You will convert sales and planned orders into production/process orders in the MRP system, release and update orders in the SAP PP/MM modules, and maintain purchasing master data. Additionally, you will propose and implement continuous-improvement initiatives to streamline planning processes.
To succeed in this role, you must be a self-starter with a positive attitude and resilience under pressure. Excellent communication skills are also required, as you will need to coordinate multiple stakeholders and communicate complex scheduling challenges effectively.
