Our press office is looking for strong strategic and operational support to respond to imec's international growth and increasing media attention.
About the role
As Press Officer, you'll support all media related activities and help ensure fast, well substantiated, and consistent interactions between media and imec spokespeople.
What you will do
* Assist in press events and press visits, including press kit creation, event coordination, and onsite support.
* Support media campaigns and online press events end-to-end.
* Help organize media briefings and interviews.
* Keep the press section of the website up to date; draft social media posts and collect visuals.
* Manage the press mailbox and triage incoming requests.
* Support PR approval cycles .
* Conduct impact assessments and track media trends to guide outreach and content development.
* Analyze media coverage and public opinion; assess communication effectiveness and report insights.
* Support partner communications.

Who you are
* All-round media relations professional with strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Fluent in Dutch, English, and French.
* Efficiently handling multiple tasks and deadlines; detail-oriented and proactive.
* Keen to learn and further develop in media relations and communications.
* Digitally savvy and comfortable with learning and navigating various digital tools and platforms.
* Quick to grasp scientific and technological topics.
