As an Indirect Procurement Global Category manager ICT & professional services you will play a pivotal role in our organization by joining a build-up position in the Pillar project. In this strategic role, you won't just manage a portfolio. You will be instrumental in shaping the future direction of our ICT and Professional Services categories. What you will do:
6. Work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure business requirements are understood.
7. Manage and assume full accountability on the assigned categories: Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Professional Services.
8. Identify and deliver value, based on category management excellence and by applying a professional and strategic approach to manage and negotiate this external spend portfolio.
9. For the assigned categories, drive category expertise through an understanding of required technologies, geographical spread, supply markets & trends, cost drivers, and the impact to the CHI business model.
10. For the assigned categories, develop supplier relationships that leverage supplier capabilities, improve supply continuity, and reduce total cost of ownership.
11. Support reporting for the assigned portfolio (KPIs, budgeting, demand management, BSR).
What we are looking for:
12. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain ( (an MBA or advanced degree is preferred).
13. A minimum of 10 years of experience in Strategic Procurement, specifically within the Pharma & Nutraceuticals Industry.
14. English at Business Fluent level.
15. Strong leadership and influencing skills at General management level.
16. Good analytic skills and a customer service mindset with the ability to manage several priorities simultaneously.
17. Extensive experience and knowledge of Strategic Procurement and third party spend management.
18. Strong experience of supply market dynamics and characteristics.
19. Expertise in tendering, negotiation tactics, planning and contracting.
20. Ability to influence internal stakeholders’ demands to manage overall spend.
21. Able to persuade and influence suppliers to achieve the best outcome for Lonza.
22. Experience of using Ariba and SAP ERP in a purchasing/procurement role.
23. Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skill sets and a working knowledge of general business practices.
