Overview
Our client, a major player in the telecommunications sector, is seeking an Initiative Test Lead to ensure quality standards across digital increments. This role focuses on high-level coordination and strategic test planning across multiple delivery teams rather than hands-on execution. The project involves embedding comprehensive QA strategies into specific initiative test plans within a large-scale enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and initiative-specific test plans.
* Define test scope and objectives based on change impact and risk assessment in alignment with leadership.
* Facilitate and coordinate prerequisites for testing including test data, automation, and environments.
* Assign tasks to relevant teams, set priorities, and monitor overall progress.
* Manage test results and defects via dashboards and conduct reviews with key stakeholders.
* Act as a cross-functional coordinator managing relationships with internal leads and external partners.
* Highlight risks and propose improvements to ensure the overall quality of the project.
Qualifications
* You have 5+ years of experience in QA and testing roles within complex enterprise environments.
* You bring 2+ years of experience in a Test Lead or QA Lead capacity.
* You possess strong knowledge of test strategy, planning, and risk-based testing.
* You have experience with Jira, Xray, and Confluence for defect and dashboard management.
* You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
* You bring the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders in dynamic environments.
* You are proactive and structured with a constructive approach to challenging delivery teams.
* You are fluent in English.
Nice to Haves
* Previous experience in the telecom industry.
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and QA metrics.
* Knowledge of automation frameworks such as Playwright.
* ISTQB Advanced Test Manager or Foundation level certification.
* Professional proficiency in Dutch.
