Location: Diegem, Belgium (Hybrid – 3 days on-site, 2 days remote)

Your Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Solutions Engineer for a one-year assignment in Diegem. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on impactful internal software solutions that drive efficiency and innovation across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for new and existing software solutions.
* Align development efforts with business strategies and objectives.
* (Co-)Design, develop, test, and deploy internal applications using modern programming languages and technologies.
* Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and system enhancements.
* Monitor, maintain, and improve existing applications for performance, security, and scalability.
* Troubleshoot technical issues and deliver efficient solutions.
* Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices.
* Share knowledge, contribute to team development, and help refine workflows.

Your Profile
Required Technical Skills
* Proficiency in SQL and RPG ILE (Free), including embedded SQL
* Experience with IBM Rational Developer and IBM Data Studio
* Familiarity with VSCode, XML/JSON, and MS Office
* Understanding of communication methods on I-Series: MQ Series, FTP, DDM, IFS
Nice-to-Have Knowledge
* RPG400 or older
* Webservices/SOAP
* IBM APIs
* ARCAD or other software change management systems
* Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
* Full Stack Development
* Java Development
