For our Client we are looking for a freelance senior GL Accountant - Head of Accounting.

* Lead and manage the end-to-end accounting function, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
* Supervise month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely completion and compliance.
* Manage balance sheet reconciliations and review journal entries prepared by the accounting team.
* Ensure compliance with Belgian accounting standards (BEGAAP) and local tax laws, including VAT and corporate tax filings.
* Coordinate internal and external audits, including preparation and submission of audit schedules and documentation.
* Drive the SAP S/4HANA accounting module, maintenance, and optimization.
* Prepare and deliver financial reports, statutory accounts, and tax filings.
* Provide guidance on complex accounting matters, technical memos, and position papers.
