Role Overview
The Business Manager (VP) supports the EMEA Head of Strategy and the EMEA Head of Global Payments & Trade (GP&T) in driving disciplined execution across the region. This role owns management reporting and stakeholder communications (including the EMEA newsletter), supports key initiatives, and leads market research to inform strategy and enablement. The role also manages revenue planning and financial reporting, including annual planning, revenue realisation tracking, and contributions to Management Information (MI) improvements. Mandate & Purpose
Enable disciplined regional execution through high‑quality management reporting, MI enhancements, and governance rhythms.
Drive consistent stakeholder communication, including the EMEA newsletter and executive updates.
Support key initiatives and offsites with structured planning, tracking, and outcomes reporting.
Support revenue management and financial reporting: annual plan, revenue realisation, and MI improvements, collaborating with Finance and leveraging enterprise tooling.
Key Responsibilities
Management Reporting & MI Governance
Own the end‑to‑end management reporting pack for EMEA GP&T: revenue, pipeline, conversion, margin, client experience, and control KPIs.
Design executive‑ready dashboards and scorecards; deliver monthly and quarterly updates to senior stakeholders.
Partner with Finance, Strategy, and Data teams to improve MI architecture, definitions, and data quality; implement iterative enhancements.
Establish a standard cadence for reporting (weekly operating reviews, monthly business reviews, quarterly QBR inputs).
Maintain issue/action logs and follow‑ups, ensuring timely resolution and visibility.
Stakeholder Communications & EMEA Newsletter
Own the EMEA newsletter: editorial calendar, content curation, stakeholder interviews, and distribution.
Draft executive communications, talking points, and updates for the EMEA Head of Strategy and EMEA Head of GP&T.
Coordinate with Marketing/Comms and Commercial Leads to ensure consistent messaging, branding, and client‑centric narratives.
Track engagement metrics and continuously improve communication effectiveness.
Key Initiative Support & Coordination
Support regional coordination of priority initiatives (e.g., enablement programs, migrations, product launches), maintaining plans, risks, dependencies, and progress trackers.
Drive readiness across onboarding, servicing, billing, and support in partnership with Product, Ops, Enablement, and Client Platform.
Prepare governance materials (steerco packs, status updates, OKR tracking) and enable decision‑making rhythms.
Collaborate with control partners to ensure risk, controls, and regulatory considerations are embedded into execution.
Document client and partner feedback and feed insights back into strategy and product roadmaps.
Support AI initiatives in the region to drive adoption across functions and act as coordinator for the region working closely with the AI Hub to understand how firmwide initiatives can be leveraged by GP&T teams in EMEA.
Support training initiatives cross‑functions regarding market trends.
Market Research & Insight Synthesis
Support EMEA Strategy lead in conducting market research on regulatory trends, competitive moves, client needs, and payment rail dynamics in EMEA.
Build concise insight briefs and recommendations for strategy, commercial plays, and enablement.
Maintain a repository of market intelligence and share relevant insights via the EMEA newsletter and stakeholder updates.
Benchmark GP&T offerings versus competitors to identify differentiation opportunities and risks.
Support thought leadership content in partnership with Commercial Leads, Marketing, and Product.
Revenue Management & Financial Reporting
Lead the annual planning process in partnership with Finance, Strategy and Commercial team; align targets by segment, country, and corridor.
Track revenue realisation versus plan; identify variances and corrective actions with Commercial Leads.
Develop monthly financial reporting packs; reconcile with Finance and ensure data integrity.
Contribute to MI improvements (definitions, pipelines, attribution, margin capture) and implement enhancements across reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Typically 3-8 years of experience in financial services, strategy, and business management.
Strong client relationship management skills with the ability to build trust and credibility.
Strong collaboration skills with Finance, Strategy, Data, Marketing, and Commercial teams.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey information to clients and stakeholders.
Analytical skills to assess client needs and market opportunities, driving informed decision‑making.
Proven experience in management reporting, stakeholder communications, and project coordination.
Ability to lead revenue planning and financial reporting with attention to data integrity and MI enhancements.
