The mission of the Quality & Food Safety (QFS) function at a common level is to:
* Provide standards and expertise to secure license to operate and ensure consumer trust.

This role is instrumental in ensuring compliance of new products and processes for the Plant-based category, ensuring they meet relevant regulatory and food safety criteria, and supporting the European-led design strategy through QFS expertise, evaluations, advice, and risk management.
Role Purpose: QFS in Design Director (QiD)
The purpose of the QiD is to:
* Ensure products for the Plant-Based category are designed with consumer needs and end-user experience in mind, integrating these into the design stage.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality principles into the design process, conducting evaluations, and implementing improvements to enhance product performance and reliability.
* Contribute to Innovation, Renovation, Fuel 4 Growth (F4G) projects within the Plant-Based category by identifying and mitigating QFS risks early in the design process to ensure products and services are trusted and preferred.
* Ensure right-first-time delivery in new projects.
* Manage interfaces with Food Safety teams, R&I, CBUs, and Operations to evaluate and mitigate risks in product design.
* Connect Quality in Design with local QFS requirements across CBUs to ensure considerations before, during, and after product launch.
* Create a connected QiD community across the category, including factories and CBUs.
* Ensure CBU experiences and voices are represented in QiD processes, standards, and practices to facilitate information flow and collaboration.
* Develop a high-performing team to ensure product conformity and superiority throughout the supply chain.
* Work proactively with zone QFS teams and categories to improve overall performance in Europe.

Internal: IPRO, Operations, Manufacturing, R&I, QFS, C&P, Regulatory.
Reporting Line: EU QFS Category Lead Director, Quality & Food Safety Europe.

Candidate Profile
Seeking a leader with a successful track record in Quality & Food Safety within complex manufacturing in the food & drink sectors, with understanding of the innovation cycle for successful launches and post-launch reviews.
* Strategic vision and contribution to business strategy.
* Advanced stakeholder management.
* Problem-solving, negotiation, influencing, conflict management, and continuous improvement skills.
* Maturity in handling ambiguity, aligned with Danone’s values and standards.
* People and system management, organizational development, change management, and team empowerment.
* Knowledge of product and process technologies, food science, and food safety basics.
* Holistic business acumen and contextual thinking.
* Confidence in strategic project delivery, with the ability to challenge and implement solutions.
Education & Experience
* Master’s degree in Food Technology, Engineering, or Quality Management.
* 15+ years of relevant experience.
