PM Group is an international project delivery company operating across Europe, the USA and Asia. We provide project management, process design, facility design, construction management, and commissioning and qualification services for our leading multinational clients.
In addition to managing large-scale one-off projects, at PM Group we also provide a Managed Service for capital projects to a growing number of clients.
At present, we are looking for an Sprinkler HVAC Package Owner to join the site based construction services team, managing the HVAC & Sprinkler Package, on a large scale pharma project based in the Geel region.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with multi-discipline Engineering\Design, Project Management and Construction Management teams.
Responsibilities
1. Lead various projects from a Building Services and Mechanical perspective and be part of a multidiscipline team.
2. Analyze complex engineering problems and offer effective solutions.
3. Provide support to fee and capital budget proposals as required.
4. Monitor Building Services and Mechanical engineering staff at junior levels, as required.
5. Check other Mechanical / building services engineers work for accuracy and quality and undertake peer reviews.
6. Requires extensive and independent contact with clients, vendor's representatives, contractor and project field personnel.
7. Attend and participate in Client, Contractor and PM Group meetings.
8. Direct and/or participate in project site visits to monitor, review and sign-off mechanical installations.
Qualifications
9. Bachelor or Master in Mechanical HVAC Engineering or similar discipline.
10. 5+ years of formal experience in heavy industrial engineering design.
11. Chartered or working towards same.
12. Ideally you will have experience working on industrial, pharma or mission critical facilities.
13. Ideally the Engineer will have experience in working in both 2D CAD and 3D Revit / Cadworks design projects.
14. Demonstrable advanced design experience in the complete suite of mechanical / building services. Particularly the following system types:Chilled Water / Process Chilled Water generation & distributionLow Pressure Hot water generation and distributionSteam & Condensate generation and distribution systemsMains, Hot and Cold WaterHVAC AHU’s and distribution SystemsProcess Exhaust SystemsProcess Compressed Air generation & DistributionProcess and Lab Gas systems storage and distribution
15. Advanced knowledge of all applicable mechanical engineering codes, standards and acceptable industry practices.
16. Commercially aware and have ability to undertake value engineering activities and implement new technologies where they are implemented to provide costs effective solutions for our clients.
17. Strong verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to prepare written specifications and contract documents.
18. Professional approach and demeanour.
19. A strong ethical approach to safety, quality, environmental protection and business.
20. Good knowledge of English and Dutch is an advantage.
