Job Overview
The Quality Assurance / Food Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring that products and production processes comply with established quality standards and food safety regulations. This role involves monitoring production environments, conducting audits, managing quality documentation, and promoting a strong culture of hygiene and compliance across the organization.
The position requires close collaboration with production teams and internal stakeholders to ensure consistent product quality while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Food Safety
* Conduct regular hygiene inspections and quality checks within production environments.
* Monitor compliance with food safety standards, GMP, and HACCP procedures.
* Identify deviations or non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Quality Systems & Compliance
* Develop and update quality procedures and work instructions.
* Ensure proper implementation of food safety and regulatory requirements.
* Support the management of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Audits & Monitoring
* Conduct internal audits, including GMP, hygiene, and glass breakage inspections.
* Support external and customer audits when required.
* Monitor compliance with internal quality policies and procedures.
Continuous Improvement
* Participate in and manage quality improvement projects.
* Support root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives.
* Oversee specific quality programs such as pest control monitoring.
Candidate Profile
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Biochemistry, Food Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
* Ideally 1–3 years of experience in quality assurance, food safety, or quality control within the food or manufacturing industry.
