Start People is recruiting an experienced Production Manager (Feeder & IS) for our client in Lommel, Belgium. This is a unique opportunity to take on a key leadership role within a state-of-the-art industrial operation, combining technical expertise, operational excellence, and people management.

Your Challenge

As Production Manager, you will be responsible for the performance and day-to-day operations of a critical production department. You will lead Team Leaders, Production Engineers, Shift Leaders, and Operators while driving safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

✅ Lead and develop a large production team

✅ Monitor productivity, quality, efficiency, and OEE performance

✅ Analyze operational results and implement improvement actions

✅ Collaborate closely with technical and operational departments

✅ Support the startup and optimization of new production lines

✅ Coach and develop managers, supervisors, and operators

✅ Foster a strong culture of safety, quality, and performance

✅ Drive process improvements, root cause analyses, and optimization projects

Your Profile

✔ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent through experience

✔ Minimum 7–10 years of experience within the container glass industry

✔ Strong knowledge of IS machines, forming processes, and hot-end production

✔ Proven leadership experience in an industrial manufacturing environment

✔ Experience with OEE, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement methodologies

✔ Strong coaching and people management skills

✔ Hands-on, analytical, and results-driven mindset

✔ Fluent in English; Dutch is considered an asset

✔ Experience in a startup, greenfield, or commissioning environment is highly valued
