Who are we looking for? Your job as a Verification AIT Engineer at Antwerp Space is both challenging and fascinating! You will contribute to exciting international satellite communication and navigation projects. The electrical integration laboratory and clean room will be your primary workspace. Let’s break down your responsibilities and qualifications: Responsibilities: Testing and Verification : As the driver behind testing and verification, you define the strategy to verify that RF and navigation products meet the required specifications. Your work will be supported by comprehensive verification and test documentation. Automated Test Bench Development : You’ll contribute to the development of automated test benches using LabVIEW and Python scripts. These benches will cover everything from breadboard testing to final product testing. You’ll work with test equipment like spectrum analysers, signal generators, power meters, and logic analysers. Environmental Testing : You’ll be involved in environmental testing, including TVAC (Thermal Vacuum), EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility), shock, and vibration tests. These specialized tests are crucial for ensuring the reliability of space products in the intended environment. Interface Testing : You’ll test RF, analogue, and digital interfaces—typical components of space products. Test and Measurement Asset Management : Managing test equipment, performing maintenance, and ensuring calibration accuracy are essential aspects of your role. Qualifications: A master’s degree in electrical engineering, communication engineering, aerospace engineering or a comparable qualification is required. Experience with Python and LabVIEW is beneficial. These languages are essential for developing automated test scripts. Basic soldering and assembly skills are welcomed. An advanced understanding of industry-standard digital interfaces and protocols, including serial communication, SPI, and I2C. A basic understanding of electronics, RF, digital communications theory, and signal processing is valuable. Experience with test equipment such as spectrum analysers, signal generators, and power meters. Excellent communication skills with a high degree of flexibility. Team player who can work effectively both independently and in large projects. Experience in dealing with customers and vendors is advantageous. Fluency in spoken and written English. Willingness to travel. Mandatory Requirements : Eligible for a EU security clearance (EU citizen, or eligible for citizenship and living in the EU for at least 10 years) The primary workplace for RF products is the Hoboken office. However, short-duration missions abroad and visits to the Leuven office are part of this dynamic job environment.
