We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Manager to oversee our container shipping operations in our Warehouse (CFS) in Antwerp, specifically focusing on import and export activities. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of our warehouse facility, ensuring the timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of containers while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and accuracy.

Responsibilities
Operational Management
Plan, organize, and manage all warehouse activities related to container shipping operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching containers involving various types of cargoes (Pallets, Big Bags, Crates, Steel Coils, Drums etc.)
Coordinate with the logistics team to prioritise shipments, ensuring timely processing and delivery of goods.
Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimise efficiency and productivity.
Oversee container loading and unloading operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and cargo handling procedures.
Leadership
Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Provide guidance and support to warehouse personnel, resolving any issues or conflicts.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide employee feedback to enhance their skills and performance.
Quality Assurance
Maintain strict quality control measures to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory records.
Conduct regular inspections of warehouse facilities and equipment to identify and address any maintenance or safety concerns.
Implement corrective actions to resolve discrepancies or deficiencies in inventory management processes.
Ensure AEO certification standards are followed as per requirements.
Customer Service
Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to address customer inquiries, concerns, and special requests.
Ensure timely and accurate communication with clients regarding the status of their shipments and any potential delays or issues.
Compliance and Safety
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards governing warehouse operations, including safety regulations, customs requirements, and import/export laws.
Promote a culture of safety awareness among warehouse staff, conducting regular safety training and maintaining a safe working environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in a container shipping or logistics environment.
Excellent organisational and problem‑solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Sound knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
Familiarity with warehouse management software and systems.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic work environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Valid forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment (preferred).
Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures (preferred).
Understanding container lashing and securing techniques for various cargo types, including steel coils, steel sheets, and machinery, to ensure safe transportation and minimise damage during transit.
