As a Senior Design Engineer, you will position yourself as a technical and functional expert in an industrial context and represent our organization with our partners thanks to:

Your missions
* Design and verify the designs of others, including performing structural analyses using Finite Element Modeling according to relevant standards (Eurocodes, American standards such as ASCE, ACI, USNRC (SRP and RG)), including dynamic analyses of nuclear structures and components for various hazards (earthquake, gas explosion, tornado, airplane crash).
* Interface with our drafting office.
* Collaborate with other disciplines in a multidisciplinary team approach.
* Contribute to writing technical specifications (design requirements) and review technical documents issued by contractors (method statements, calculation notes for temporary situations).
* Be accountable for respecting commitments regarding design activities (scope & schedule).
* Mentor junior engineers and share your experience and expertise with the team.
Your profile
* You hold a Master's degree Civil Engineering, with at least 20 years of experience in structural analysis and design.
* Experience with general Finite Element and structural software (such as ANSYS, SCIA) for static and dynamic loads, both linear and non-linear.
* A practical, hands-on mentality is required for designing industrial structures of high quality within the set schedule.
* Curiosity to discover the nuclear sector and the associated structural engineering challenges (nuclear safety, quality assurance, earthquake, explosion, tornado, airplane crash).
* Good command of Dutch and English. Knowledge of French is an asset.
* Knowledge of international codes and standards (Eurocodes, American standards such as ASCE, ACI, USNRC (SRP and RG)).
* Willingness to work in an industrial environment with various checks and collaboration.
