Join Saint-Gobain Tape Solutions at our Chaineux manufacturing facility as our next Quality Control / Quality Assurance Manager. In this role, you’ll lead day-to-day quality control operations, own the customer claims process, and strengthen product & process quality assurance—directly supporting operational performance and continuous improvement on site.

What you’ll do (your impact)
1/ Lead Quality Control (QC)
* Supervise and lead the team of QC/laboratory technicians.
* Ensure controls during reception, production and final release.
* Define, maintain and optimize control plans.
* Supervise metrology (calibrations, verifications) in relation to the IATF 16949 standard.
* Decide on the product status: OK / NOK / derogation.
* Manage quality areas: quarantine, inspection, return, destruction, pending.
* Validate the \"product destructions\" in accordance with the procedures in force.
2/ Own the Customer Claims process
* Ensure the complete management of claims.
* Provide 3D within 24 hours and 8D within 20 days (automotive).
* Organize and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (internal/external).
* Manage corrective actions with the production, maintenance and methods teams.
* Verify the effectiveness and robustness of the actions.
* Ensure operational communication with customers.
* Go to the customer site in the event of a major dispute.
3/ Strengthen Product & Process QA
* Guarantee product compliance with internal, regulatory and customer requirements (management of NCs related to quality within ISO and IATF 16949 standards).
* Participate in process FMEA and product/process validations.
* Contribute to the APQP (operational level) process.
* Implement and monitor operational quality indicators (scrap, rework, PPM, capabilities).
* Deploy and maintain statistical process control (SPC).
* Anticipate deviations and implement preventive actions.
4/ Strengthen Product & Process QA (in coordination with OpEx Leader)
* Participate in QRQC and structured problem solving.
* Train operators and supervisors in quality standards and best practices.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives driven by OpEx (5S, Kaizen, standards).
* To be the quality reference point on the production lines.
5/ Documentation, Records & Traceability
* Maintain quality records (controls, non-conformities, claims, destructions).
* Guarantee the complete traceability of batches and products.
* Contribute to the updating of operational quality instructions (excluding global QMS).
* Ensure documentary rigor in conjunction with the QMS Manager.
Who you are (what we’re looking for)
Education
French baccalauréat +3 years study up to french baccalauréat +5 years study in quality, production, industrial engineering or equivalent.
Experience
3 to 5 years in operational quality in industry (automotive or similar).
Technical skills
* Mastery: 8D, FMEMA, SPC, control plans, Ishikawa, 5 Why.
* Operational knowledge: ISO 9001, IATF 16949. VDA 6.3 is a plus.
* Knowledge of statistical and measurement tools.
Soft skills
* Proximity leadership.
* Clear and factual communication (internal/external).
* Rigor and sense of organization.
* Ability to manage emergencies and priorities.
* Analytical and solution-oriented.
* Have a high level of customer sensitivity, given the sometimes difficult negotiations and the criticality of customer loyalty
