Responsibilities
Lead and direct all business activities in the Benelux region, including full P&L responsibility and achieving ambitious commercial objectives.
Define and implement effective growth strategies in close collaboration with headquarters and international partners.
Lead, develop and motivate the local Sales & Service Team and foster a culture of high performance, innovation and collaboration.
Drive sales of Microtrac surface instruments and provide expert technical support and advice on surface instrumentation (BET theory, porosimetry) and pore size analysis.
Maintain contact with key customers and research institutes, especially in catalysts, MOFs, biochar and chemical synthesis, and support the full sales process from lead generation to after‑sales.
Identify and exploit new market opportunities, customer segments and product introductions in the region.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors and internal stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legal requirements and represent the company at industry events, conferences and regulatory bodies.
Collaborate closely with the international management team to align strategies and leverage group synergies.
Qualifications
Several years of managerial experience in scientific instrumentation, laboratory equipment or related sectors, preferably within the Benelux market.
Strong commercial, strategic and operational insight, with proven experience in business development and team management.
Hands‑on experience with analytical instrumentation for surface and porosity determination (BET analysis, pore size calculation). Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Technology or related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; fluent in Dutch, French and English.
Entrepreneurial mindset, practical attitude and willingness to travel regularly within the Benelux region.
