WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our Belgium team in a pivotal role that combines Finance Management responsibilities with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable. This position is critical to ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust control processes, and effective cash flow management for the Belgium entity. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving compliance with Belgian accounting standards and IFRS, supporting audits, and implementing continuous process improvements. This role offers the opportunity to transition into a Finance Manager or Assistant FM position, making it ideal for a senior profile looking to grow within a dynamic, international logistics environment.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Prepare and submit monthly P&L reports for the Belgium entity
Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue accounts.
Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Prepare regular reports on aging, collections, and cash flow impact.
Manage intercompany billings, reconciliations, and true-up processes
Lead budget preparation, monthly closing and financial reporting
Manage G&A control, monthly provisions and accruals.
Oversee internal and statutory audits
Ensure adherence to tax and legal obligations
Support implementation of strong financial controls and continuous process improvements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
5–8 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in logistics or shipping
Strong knowledge of Belgian accounting standards, tax and IFRS
Experience in audit, reporting and Oracle reporting systems
Fluent in English and Dutch
