Chief Operating Officer (COO) Brussels – Flemish Region We are looking for a Chief Operating Officer to join a permanent-capital holding that acquires and supports family-owned and entrepreneurial businesses to ensure their long-term growth and sustainability. Currently owning around a dozen SMEs, the group aims to acquire 2 to 4 new companies per year. Key points : Right-hand to the CEO, playing a key role in strategic and operational decisions Lead and structure the operational performance across the portfolio, with a direct impact at group level Work within a central team of around fifteen people, while closely collaborating with leadership teams across the different SMEs Drive operational excellence, scalability, and value creation within portfolio companies Long-term approach : companies are retained to grow sustainably, far from short-term resale strategies In a context of growth and structuring, the team is looking for a Chief Operating Officer capable of driving performance, structuring operations, and having a strong and lasting impact across the group. Your role : As a Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for driving operational performance and structuring the organization across the portfolio companies. Your mission : translate strategy into execution, build scalable operations, and ensure sustainable performance improvement. Specifically : Assess and oversee each business : business model, operations, organization, financial performance, and market positioning Identify and drive key value creation levers across the portfolio Define strategic and operational priorities at both company and group level Implement and monitor robust KPIs and performance frameworks Lead transformation and operational improvement initiatives Align and challenge management teams to ensure execution excellence Ensure rigorous follow-up and accountability on performance and initiatives Build and promote a performance-driven, data-oriented culture Act as a trusted partner to CEOs of portfolio companies, supporting decision-making and execution Your profile : 10 years of experience in operational leadership roles (COO, Head of Operations, General Management, etc.) Degree in business, management, or equivalent Strong understanding of business operations, performance drivers, and value creation in SMEs Strategic mindset combined with strong execution capabilities Proven leadership and ability to influence senior stakeholders Hands-on, structured, and results-oriented approach Trilingual : French – English – Dutch Are you looking for a role where you can drive operations at scale, work closely with CEOs, and have a direct impact on the growth and structuring of multiple companies?
