The Opportunity
We are looking for a passionate and skilledField Technical Engineerto join ourCardiac Rhythm Managementteam inFlanders, Belgium. This fully field-based role involves daily travel across the region to support clinical procedures and provide expert technical consultation on our cardiac stimulation devices and implantable monitors.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring optimal patient outcomes by attending implants, follow-ups, and troubleshooting technical issues. You’ll also educate medical personnel on the use of our advanced CRM portfolio and collaborate closely with the sales team to support commercial success.
Your Responsibilities
1. Deliver expert technical and clinical support for CRM products during procedures and follow-ups
2. Educate and train healthcare professionals on device usage and therapy applications
3. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure efficient support and maximize selling time
4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CRM technologies, therapies, and competitor products
5. Represent Abbott with professionalism and integrity, adhering to healthcare compliance standards
6. Provide insights and feedback from the field to support continuous improvement
What You Bring
7. Bachelor’s or university degree in a science-related field
8. Preferably experience in cardiac rhythm management, electrophysiology, or similar clinical settings
9. Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with clinicians
11. Ability to work flexibly in cath labs, operating rooms, and private consultations
12. Fluent inDutch and English
13. Experience with indirect imaging and cardiology-related products is a plus
14. Proven ability to support clinical introductions of advanced therapeutic devices
