We're looking for an experienced Solution Architect to strengthen the Residential architecture team. You’ll design end-to-end solution architectures, guide integration decisions across a complex landscape, and help shape a long‑term modernization journey. This is a role for someone who enjoys turning business goals into clear architectural direction while collaborating across multiple teams.
What You’ll Do
Design scalable solution architectures across systems with many applications and integrations.
Support several initiatives within the Residential domain, often linked to CSS and BSS layers.
Perform high‑level impact assessments and translate them into actionable solution designs.
Engage with stakeholders, challenge requirements, and propose well‑found architectural alternatives.
Clarify complexity, cost, feasibility, and early workable solutions for each project.
Contribute to modernization, rationalisation and simplification of the application landscape.
Bring architectural guardrails to life and help teams work toward a more maintainable ecosystem.
Promote an enterprise architecture mindset across the wider organization
Requirements You’re a hands‑on architect who balances autonomy with strong communication. You bring structure to complex environments and enjoy guiding both business and IT teams toward practical, future‑proof solutions.

Designs and compares architectural alternatives independently
Communicates clearly and builds strong bridges between teams
Can assess impact quickly and make informed decisions
Is comfortable presenting solutions and gaining stakeholder buy‑in
Adapts well to change in a fast‑moving environment
Understands the full software development lifecycle
Must‑Have Skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field
10 years total experience, including
at least 5 years as Solution Architect
Proven experience designing end‑to‑end solutions in complex environments
Comfortable working hands‑on and stepping outside strict role boundaries
Strong stakeholder communication and alignment skills
Ability to deliver architectural assessments and defend solution choices
Fluent in English, Dutch preferred
Nice to Have
Experience working in large, complex application landscapes
Familiarity with
Confluence
and
LeanIX
Knowledge of enterprise architecture concepts
Background in the telecom sector
Experience working in scaled agile environments
Working with offshore delivery teams
Terms Start date: January 2026
Duration: 12 months (extension highly likely; 3 months confirmable upfront)
Working regime: Full‑time
Location: Mechelen (hybrid)
Fixed office day: Monday + one additional office day of your choice
