People Planning Specialist is responsible for implementing people planning strategy at the unit level, following established principles and guidelines. Key responsibilities include analyzing staffing data, ensuring compliance with employment standards and legal requirements, contributing to the unit's complete people planning process from forecasting to schedule execution, creating draft schedules, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure vacancies are approved, and providing education and training to unit leaders on the people planning process.

In this role, you will work closely with the People & Culture Unit Manager to implement a comprehensive people planning approach that aligns with business needs. You will analyze staffing data, identify trends and patterns, and develop strategies to optimize workforce planning. Your goal will be to create a working schedule that meets business needs while ensuring the well-being of co-workers.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of global and country people planning approaches, market and legal requirements, and budget management in people planning. They will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and take initiative to secure business deadlines. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role. The successful candidate will also have experience in organizing, storing, and maintaining records and information in a confidential manner.
