About the Role
As Technical Account Manager for Flanders, you will play a key role in expanding the client base. You will support clients throughout the entire journey—from initial contact and consultation to proposal creation, project awarding, and ongoing partnership development.
You combine strong commercial instincts with a genuine interest in environmental and regulatory frameworks. No prior expertise is required, as full training will be provided; however, curiosity and a willingness to learn are essential.
Key responsibilities:
1. Business development & outreach: proactively identify, approach, and win new clients
2. Client relationship management: maintain and grow existing accounts by spotting opportunities and building long-term collaborations
3. Consultative support: advise clients on new standards, monitoring approaches, applicable regulations, and compliance requirements
4. Proposals & negotiations: develop commercial relationships, prepare quotations, and follow through on agreements
5. Market intelligence: gather insights on industry trends and contribute to commercial and operational planning
6. Representation: act as a representative of the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
Potential clients will be active in the industry, waste program, energy and mobility
About the ideal candidate
7. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical, scientific, or commercial field ( environmental science, chemistry, engineering, business administration, etc.) is a plus
8. Minimum of years of proven experience in BB sales or within the environmental sector
9. Ability to work independently, focus on results, and build trust easily
10. Strong commercial mindset with enjoyment of negotiating, persuading, and presenting.
11. Fluency in Dutch and English is a must
