About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Freelance PCS7 Engineer to join automation and control projects in the petrochemical sector. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Siemens PCS7 systems, including configuration, programming, and commissioning within complex industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and implement control system architectures using Siemens PCS7.
* Configure and program automation systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA) according to project requirements.
* Conduct system integration, factory acceptance tests (FAT), and site commissioning (SAT).
* Collaborate with process, electrical, and instrumentation teams to ensure seamless automation solutions.
* Support troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of existing PCS7 systems.
* Ensure compliance with safety, ATEX, and IEC standards.
Profile / Requirements
* Degree in Automation, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in process automation within the petrochemical or oil & gas industry.
* Proven experience with Siemens PCS7, Step 7, and WinCC.
* Knowledge of Profibus/Profinet, instrumentation, and process control systems.
* Fluent in Dutch and English; French is an asset.
* Registered as a freelancer (valid VAT number) in Belgium or the EU.
