Mission
As a Data Transmission Network Engineer, you will ensure the continuous and reliable operation of communication platforms by monitoring networks, resolving incidents, coordinating maintenance, and supporting internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and ensure the correct functioning of all Datacom platforms (LAN/WAN, telecom and transmission systems).
* Detect, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents and problems.
* Escalate complex issues to network architects, product owners, or external partners when needed.
* Coordinate and follow up on planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
* Communicate with stakeholders during incidents, changes, and planned works.
* Provide operational support to other teams and external parties.
* Maintain accurate technical documentation and operational records.
* Execute administrative and quality-related tasks for Datacom platforms.
* Actively contribute to process improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
Technical Environment
* LAN/WAN and enterprise networks
* Transmission and telecom technologies: SDH, DWDM, IP/MPLS, VoIP
* Network monitoring and management systems
* Ticketing, documentation, and SLA/KPI tools
Profile & Requirements
* Practical operational knowledge of modern networks: LAN/WAN, SDH, DWDM, IP/MPLS, VoIP
* Experience in a NOC, helpdesk, or network operations role is a strong asset.
* Fluent in Dutch or French, with good knowledge of the other language.
* Good working knowledge of English (mandatory).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Able to work independently, methodically, and under pressure.
* Strong sense of responsibility, urgency, and service mindset.
* Flexible and stress-resistant in a 24/7 operational context.
