Gain insight into the strategic heart of professional football and become the CEO of the Pro League's right-hand man. Your career starts here. Yes, sometimes that means making coffee. But above all, you will have an impact.
Are you a recent graduate ready to invest two years of hard work in your future in sport? Then this is your chance. Our CEO is looking for an ambitious graduate to be his PA for two years: a smart sidekick who can think ahead, organise and arrange. But above all, we need someone who can sit in the cockpit of the football company and learn the game behind the game.
The Pro League represents 29 professional clubs, organises all professional competitions, and plays a significant role at the intersection of sport, politics, media, and business. You will work closely with our CEO, gaining unique insights into the world of top-flight Belgian football.
What will you be doing?
You will be the organisational driving force within the Pro League, supporting the CEO. In concrete terms, this means:
* Managing his agenda (and rescuing him from overrunning meetings); planning and preparing meetings; ensuring clear briefings and follow-up.
* You will gain insight into strategic projects (spoiler: there are many).
* You will support communication with clubs, politicians, partners, sponsors, the media and stakeholders, applying the necessary flair and discretion.
* You will also take care of internal organisation, such as receiving visitors, planning events and maintaining an overview in a world where every minute counts.
* And yes, you will occasionally make coffee, but mainly to ensure that our operations and our team run smoothly.
What you will get out of it?
* A two-year crash course in sports management, communication, strategy, politics, the media, and stakeholder violence.
* You will also gain a network of contacts ranging from club chairmen to policymakers and media people.
* The opportunity to learn first-hand, contribute to real decisions and work at the highest level.
* After two years, you will have a CV that will catch the eye of any sports organisation, rights holder or sponsor.
What we are looking for?
* A master's or bachelor's degree in economics, law, sports management, political science or communication — or something else that demonstrates your ability to think and take action.
* You are articulate, mature, discreet and organised, or you can quickly learn these skills;
* You are bilingual in Dutch and French and can also communicate well in English.
* You can juggle many tasks at once and ensure they are completed successfully.
* You are eager to learn and progress, and you are willing to occasionally fix something that wasn't really your problem (but now it is).
What we offer?
* A full-time position for an indefinite period.
* A competitive salary and fringe benefits.
* Guidance, trust, and access to the highest levels.
* A place in a young, ambitious team that makes an impact.
