We are looking for a Data Architect to support a major data migration programme for a leading insurance company in Brussels. In this role, you will design the target data architecture, define data models and integration patterns, and ensure a smooth migration from legacy systems to the new data platform. You will work closely with Data Engineering, IT, and Business teams to align data structures with regulatory, operational, and analytics needs, ensuring data quality, consistency, and security throughout the migration.
Responsibilities
* Design and document the target data architecture for the new insurance data platform.
* Define data models, mapping rules, and integration flows for migration.
* Support data extraction, transformation, and loading processes (ETL/ELT).
* Ensure data quality, lineage, governance, and compliance requirements are met.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand product, policy, claims, and customer data needs.
* Provide technical guidance to developers and oversee migration testing.
Profile
* 5+ years' experience as a Data Architect or Senior Data Engineer.
* Strong expertise in data modelling, integration, and migration frameworks.
* Experience in insurance data domains (policy, claims, products) strongly preferred.
* Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and metadata management.
* Proficient in SQL and modern data platform technologies.
