Director of Clinical Sourcing
Our client, a leading biotechnology company in Europe, is looking for a Director of Clinical Sourcing to join the team. Within this role you will be responsible for the below:
* Oversee and manage the Sourcing Management team within the assigned franchise area, leading all sourcing activities.
* Promote alignment and consistency across teams by mentoring team members and guiding personal development plans.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to contribute to project planning, strategy development, and budget forecasting.
* Monitor vendor performance, addressing escalations as needed, and ensure seamless collaboration across franchises by engaging with sourcing leads.
* Lead cross-functional teams to manage vendor selection for key projects.
* Facilitate the Request for Proposal (RFP) process by crafting detailed specifications, evaluating vendor proposals, organizing presentations, and driving team decision-making.
* Build and manage strong relationships with vendors, leading collaboration and project review meetings.
* Drive innovation by refining sourcing processes, templates, and tools. Participate in broader corporate initiatives as needed.
Required Skills / Experience:
* Previous skills in clinical outsourcing or IT sourcing within a clinical domain
* Excellent communication and negotiation ability
* Previous line management skills and expertise
* Extensive experience working within the pharmaceutical and clinical arena
* An adaptable and pro-active leader
