We are seeking a skilled and motivated Hardware Design Engineer to play a key role in the development of next-generation medical technology solutions. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating electronic hardware for medical devices that directly impact patient care and healthcare delivery. You will work across the entire product lifecycle, from concept and prototyping through verification, validation, and design transfer to manufacturing, ensuring that every design meets the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability. This role requires a strong foundation in circuit and PCB design, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including firmware, mechanical, quality, and regulatory engineering. You will also contribute to compliance with international medical device standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring our products not only push the boundaries of innovation but also meet rigorous certification and safety benchmarks. This is an opportunity to apply your technical expertise to create meaningful, life-changing medical devices in a fast-paced and mission-driven environment. Responsibilities
Design, develop, and validate electronic circuits, PCB layouts, and system hardware for medical devices. Prepare and maintain detailed design documentation, including schematics, block diagrams, design specifications, and risk assessments, in compliance with medical device development standards. Select and evaluate electronic components with consideration for medical safety, availability, and regulatory compliance. Perform design simulations, feasibility studies, and trade-off analyses. Conduct design verification and validation testing to ensure hardware meets performance, safety, and reliability requirements. Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and systems engineers to ensure seamless hardware integration. Participate in design reviews, hazard analyses, and failure mode and effects analyses (FMEAs). Support prototyping, bring-up, debugging, and design transfer to manufacturing. Continuously research and propose new technologies to enhance device performance, efficiency, and safety. Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline. Strong knowledge of analog/digital circuit design, power management, signal integrity, and PCB layout. Proficiency with electronic design automation (EDA) and simulation tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, Cadence, SPICE, MATLAB). Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, etc.). Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontroller-based hardware. Solid understanding of medical device regulatory requirements and risk management processes. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. The Offer
