Department description and responsibilities
The Transport and Trade Compliance department at Umicore supports all transport & trade compliance-related processes for import and export. Focusing on Export Control and Sanctions, Customs, transport procurement, transport regulations, transport operations & projects. The team works closely with several key stakeholders both internally and externally.
Project Description and Responsibilities
The PMO Officer will support the Transport & Trade Compliance (TTC) Director in managing ongoing projects and operational activities within the department, with the main focus on Trade Compliance. This includes supporting the project streams, processing updates, preparing meetings, and creating structure within the team. The role is operational and hands-on, no strategic content input is expected. The PMO Officer will help relieve the workload of the department head and ensure smooth coordination across stakeholders. The candidate is expected to help to bring structure and potentially shape the role further.
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities
• Support the TTC department and its head in daily project management and department management
• Maintain a structured and consolidated overview of all ongoing requests
• Prepare (project) meetings (agenda, presentations, action points)
• Track progress across project streams and coordinate with various team members
• Perform quality checks on documentation (e.g. project plans, business cases, reports)
• Create slides and reporting materials based on input from stakeholders
• Identify anomalies in project data and escalate to relevant departments
• Collaborate with Finance and HR for staffing coordination and monthly reporting
• Help shape and define the role further based on evolving needs
Technical Profile Requirements
• Min 7yrs experience as operational PMO Officer
• Proficiency in project governance frameworks
• Experience in an international environment
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel & Powerpoint
• Familiarity with MS Planner
• Experience with project management tools is a plus
• Experience with reporting and KPI dashboards
• Knowledge of standard business processes
• Knowledge of Trade Compliance is a plus, but not mandatory

Methodology/Certification requirements
• Master's Degree OR equivalent through experience.
