To strengthen the Communication department, we are currently looking for a Copywriter.
Responsibilities
As a key member of the communication team, your primary focus will be editorial content creation that supports the organization's complex and long-term mission.
In this role, you will:
* Translate complex scientific and technical information into clear, accessible messaging tailored to different audiences, while maintaining scientific accuracy and integrity.
* Create a wide variety of content related to surface disposal and deep geological research: web articles, press kits, press releases, Q&As, LinkedIn posts, speeches, and more.
* Ensure message coherence across all communication materials targeting different stakeholder groups.
* Take final responsibility for the linguistic and content accuracy of all published materials.
* Collaborate with the internal translation team to ensure multilingual availability of content (Dutch, French, English).
Experience & Competences
You are a strong fit for this position if you bring:
* A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Education (Science), or a related field.
* Several years of relevant experience in a similar editorial or communication role.
* A passion for language combined with a strong interest in science and societal topics.
* The ability to distill and communicate complex topics clearly, concisely, and engagingly to varied audiences.
* Strong attention to detail, a high sense of responsibility, and a proactive mindset.
* The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities under pressure.
* Proficiency with office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Native-level command of Dutch, with good spoken and written knowledge of French and a professional working knowledge of English.
