CHIEF INFORMATION SECURITY OFFICER (CISO)
A role to strengthen and centralize security leadership across IT and OT for the shared mobile networks of Orange Belgium and Proximus. The CISO reports to the Managing Director and is responsible for protecting MWingz information assets, IT services and telecom network operations.
Your Mission
Define and govern the security strategy across IT and OT, strengthen network resilience, manage cybersecurity and AI-related risks in a regulated telecom environment, enhance overall cybersecurity maturity, and maintain ISO 27001 certification.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute the security strategy, policies, procedures and related roadmap.
Lead enterprise, technical, and AI/automation risk management and policy management.
Oversee IT security domains: IAM, cloud/SaaS, vulnerability management, and secure SDLC.
Define and govern security for telecom RAN, RAN-OSS, and vendor‑managed systems.
Strengthen security‑by‑design and resilience through BCP/DR planning, testing, and operational KPIs.
Lead cyber‑crisis preparedness and coordination, including executive escalation, crisis playbooks, communication interfaces, and regular exercises with MWingz, operators, critical suppliers, and relevant authorities.
Ensure organisation is in place for cyber‑incident detection and response, including SOC/NOC collaboration.
Manage third‑party and supply‑chain security, including vendor requirements and audits.
Supervise the application and improvement of the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
Ensure compliance with Belgian/EU regulations, customer obligations and reporting to authorities.
Promote a strong security culture through awareness and role‑based training.
Ensure security‑by‑design and risk‑based decision‑making across transformation programs, major network evolutions, new platforms, and sourcing changes.
Define and operate the security governance model of the joint venture, including clear decision‑making, risk acceptance, escalation and reporting mechanisms with MWingz leadership, shareholders/operators, and relevant authorities.
Define and report security KPIs/KRIs, risk exposure, compliance status, major incidents, and remediation progress to executive management and governance bodies.
Your Profile
10+ years in cybersecurity or IT risk leadership.
Strong experience in telecom, critical infrastructure, or highly regulated environments.
Solid knowledge of security architecture, IAM/PAM, network security, and operations.
Solid understanding of telecom networks (especially Radio Access Network) and large‑scale infrastructure security.
Proven leadership across engineering and operations teams.
Understanding of AI and automation risks and governance.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001) are a plus.
Strong executive communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities.
At least bilingual: English and Dutch or French.
